Andy Diouf adopts new role for France national team

Andy Diouf is transitioning into a utility player for both the France national team and Inter Milan. During France’s 1-0 Nations League victory against Belgium, Zinedine Zidane deployed Diouf in an unfamiliar role as a left-back within a 4-3-3 formation.

Diouf, who joined Inter from RC Lens as a central midfielder, has recently seen more consistent playing time under Cristian Chivu, often operating as a right wing-back in a 3-5-2 system. While Diouf expressed that he enjoys the versatility and the opportunity to be on the pitch, he noted a preference for his natural position in central midfield.
