Andy Ibáñez signs minor league deal with Seattle Mariners

The Seattle Mariners have signed utility player Andy Ibáñez to a minor league contract. The 33-year-old infielder is expected to join the Tacoma Rainiers, the team's Triple-A affiliate.

Ibáñez has experienced a turbulent season, moving through multiple organizations including the Oakland Athletics, New York Mets, and Los Angeles Dodgers. Following his release from the Mets organization, where he played for the Triple-A Syracuse Mets, he became a free agent on August 13.

A veteran with over 431 MLB games, Ibáñez has previously played for the Texas Rangers and Detroit Tigers. His versatility across various infield positions may provide depth for the Mariners, who have faced challenges in their lineup this season.
