Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury fight negotiations resume for New York

Negotiations for a heavyweight bout between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have resumed following a response from Saudi promoters Sela to a venue addendum. Promoter Eddie Hearn indicated that while Matchroom still prefers a UK venue, discussions are moving forward regarding a potential November date at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Tyson Fury has expressed readiness for the New York fight but warned he has alternative opponents on standby should the agreement with Joshua and Hearn fail due to ongoing financial or location disputes. Fury stated he is training to remain active and will honor existing contracts if the November window closes.

In separate heavyweight news, Andy Ruiz Jr. is scheduled to face Damian Knyba on September 4 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The 12-round bout marks a return to the ring for Ruiz, who has been inactive for over two years since his draw with Jarrell Miller.
