Andy Warhol celebrated through art and culinary events in Italy

Various cultural initiatives across Italy are honoring the legacy of pop artist Andy Warhol. In Como, the Art Events organization is hosting a program titled ‘Sport Events’ at the Yacht Club Como to coincide with the Serie A football match between Como and Venezia. The event features a Warhol silkscreen displayed alongside works by Marco Adamo, an artist who uses footballs as painting tools, as well as design pieces by Volker Merkle and mixology by Gennaro Florio.

In Turin, the OFFissima festival is integrating Warhol’s pop art aesthetic into the local food scene. Running from October 29 to November 7 during the city’s contemporary art week, the event encourages restaurants, pizzerias, and gelaterias to create limited-edition dishes inspired by the artist. Notable examples include risotto served in cans inspired by Warhol’s iconic soup imagery.
