Andy Yiadom joins AFC Wimbledon on five-month deal

Ghanaian defender Andy Yiadom has signed a five-month contract with English League Two side AFC Wimbledon. The 34-year-old veteran, who has made nearly 400 appearances in the English Football League, is expected to provide defensive cover and leadership to the squad through January 2027.

Manager Johnnie Jackson noted that Yiadom impressed the club during several weeks of training prior to the deal. Yiadom’s career includes significant spells at Barnet, Barnsley, and Reading, where he was voted Player of the Season for 2021-22. He has also represented the Ghana national team, including participation in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
