Ane Brun announces new album and single ‘Hold Me’

Singer-songwriter Ane Brun has announced her new album, ‘I Thought We Were the Same’, scheduled for release on November 6 via BMG. This marks her first release of new music in six years.

Brun has released the first single, ‘Hold Me’, a track co-written and produced with Norwegian electronic artist ARY. The song was uniquely inspired by a silent choreography created by Hiroki Ichinose for dancers Auguste Palayer and Viola Esmeralda Grappiolo, leading Brun to improvise the music while watching the movement.

The upcoming album is described as Brun’s most personal work, exploring themes of trust and vulnerability through a more pop-oriented sound with distinct hooks. The record features collaborations with artists including Röyksopp and Emilie Nicolas.
