Anže Kopitar and family relocate to Slovenia after NHL career

Professional hockey player Anže Kopitar and his family have relocated to Slovenia following the conclusion of his 20-year NHL career. After playing all twenty seasons with the Los Angeles Kings, Kopitar decided to retire following the 2025/26 season to spend more time with his wife, Ines, and their children.

Ines Kopitar shared on social media that their children, Neža and Jakob, have begun attending new schools in Slovenia, entering the 4th and 6th grades respectively. The move marks a significant transition for the family, who had previously split their time between Slovenia and the United States. The family expressed optimism regarding the change, which involves adapting to a new country, school system, and daily routines.
