Anže Kopitar succeeds Tine Urnaut as sports patronage ambassador

Former volleyball player Tine Urnaut has raised 230,095 euros for the Olympic Committee of Slovenia (OKS) Foundation through a charity event held in Ljubljana. The funds are intended to support children who lack the necessary resources to participate in sports within their environments.

During the event, Urnaut officially handed over his role as the ambassador for sports patronage to Anže Kopitar, the former longtime captain of the Los Angeles Kings. Kopitar, who recently concluded a 20-season NHL career, expressed his honor in accepting the position and noted his intention to spend more time in his homeland after moving from the United States.

The evening also featured appearances by volleyball player Mitar Đurić and was attended by Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar, who highlighted the collective power of sports for social good.
