Anže Lanišek eyes coaching career after competitive ski jumping

Slovenian ski jumper Anže Lanišek has expressed interest in pursuing a coaching career after his competitive years. While still aiming to achieve more as an athlete, the 30-year-old Olympic medalist recently took his first steps toward mentorship during the Tatra Cup in Zakopane.

During the event, Lanišek acted as a mentor to younger Slovenian competitors from his club, SSK Mengeš, providing advice and sharing his experiences. He noted that exploring the behind-the-scenes aspects of the sport offers a different perspective compared to being an active athlete and expressed a specific desire to work with younger jumpers in the future.

The event in Zakopane also included a ceremony celebrating the career conclusion of Polish ski jumper Kamil Stoch, attended by other prominent figures such as Severin Freund and Peter Prevc.
