Anecoop holds technical congress in Valencia to address agricultural challenges

Anecoop, a leading Spanish agrifood cooperative specializing in fruit and vegetable marketing, held its Technical Congress on September 22 at CaixaForum València. The event brought together more than 200 professionals from the quality and production departments of its national members and the organization's internal structure.

Inaugurated by President Alejandro Monzón, the congress focused on aligning technical criteria, sharing knowledge, and coordinating operational strategies to face global competition. Key topics included innovation, research, technology, sustainability, and evolving consumer profiles. Monzón emphasized the increasing importance of technical professionals in supporting farmers through changes in cultivation techniques, digital tools, and new certifications.

The program also featured insights from Gabriel Trenzado, director general of Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España, who discussed the role of cooperatives in driving economic, social, and environmental sustainable development.
