Anees Bazmee celebrates 20 years of comedy film Sandwich

Filmmaker Anees Bazmee is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the comedy film ‘Sandwich’. To mark the occasion, Bazmee shared a compilation of scenes from the movie on social media, expressing gratitude to the audience for their continued support and memories.

Released on August 25, 2006, the film stars Govinda in a dual role alongside Raveena Tandon and Mahima Chaudhry. The plot follows a character named Sher Singh who faces complications after marrying two women, a situation further complicated by a man undergoing plastic surgery to resemble him.

The film was notable for marking the cinematic comeback of Raveena Tandon following a hiatus after her marriage in 2004. Originally titled ‘Hum Do Hamara Ek’, the project was retitled ‘Sandwich’ following delays in its theatrical release.
