Anelia celebrates 25 years in music with major concert

Bulgarian pop-folk singer Anelia is preparing for the largest concert of her career, titled ‘The First 25 Years’, scheduled for November 28.

Born in Stara Zagora in 1982, Anelia comes from a musical lineage of bagpipers and tamburists. Her early training included folk music and studying the gadulka at the ‘Philip Kutev’ music school. Before her major breakthrough in 2002 with the hit ‘Pogledni me v ochite’, she spent time working in Switzerland, where she recorded over 100 Serbian songs.

Anelia later studied pop and jazz singing at the ‘Pancho Vladigerov’ State Music Academy. She describes her musical style and value system as distinct from standard pop-folk, emphasizing that success requires talent, discipline, and character.
