ANEM reports threats against journalist Nemanja Šarović

The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) has reported a threat of serious violence against Nemanja Šarović, a host for KTV and president of the 'Ljubav, vera, nada' political movement, to the Special Public Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime.

The report follows an incident during a Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) rally where police reportedly prevented the KTV team from reporting. ANEM claims that intervention units used force to push back the news crew and citizens, and that Šarović was subjected to physical strikes by officers. The organization expressed concern that such police conduct fosters an environment where violence against journalists and political actors is perceived as acceptable.
