Anesthesiologist Leodelvis Acosta Rodríguez identified in Colombian illegal cosmetic surgery death

Colombia’s Attorney General’s Office has revealed the identity of the man previously known only as alias “Leo” in the homicide investigation of Yulixa Consuelo Toloza. The suspect is identified as anesthesiologist Leodelvis Acosta Rodríguez, who participated in a clandestine cosmetic‑surgery procedure at the “Beauty Láser M.L.” clinic in southern Bogotá. During the operation the victim suffered severe medical complications and, according to prosecutors, was transported in a vehicle to an undisclosed location instead of being taken to a hospital. The investigation alleges that Acosta Rodríguez ordered the disposal of Toloza’s body to evade criminal liability. He remains at large, and his capture is listed as a priority for authorities. The case, which first captured national attention in May 2026, is exposing a wider network allegedly involved in illegal aesthetic procedures and evidence tampering.
