Angad Cheema holds two-shot lead at Telangana Open

Angad Cheema maintained a two-shot lead heading into the final round of the Telangana Open 2026 at Vooty Golf County in Vikarabad. After a career-low 11-under 61 on Wednesday, the 36-year-old Chandigarh golfer shot a seven-under 65 in the third round, bringing his total to 20-under 196.

Delhi’s Rashid Khan kept pressure on the leader by matching Cheema’s 65, moving to 18-under 198. Khan recorded eight birdies and one bogey during his round. Cheema’s performance included eight birdies and a crucial eagle on the par-five 16th, though he also faced three bogeys on the back nine.

Jairaj Singh Sandhu made significant progress, shooting a tournament-low nine-under 63 to move into third place at 14-under 202. Other notable performers included Honey Baisoya and Arjun Sharma, who shared fourth place at 13-under 203.
