Ange Capuozzo readies for Stade Toulousain season after summer recovery

Italian back Ange Capuozzo will re‑join Stade Toulousain on 3 August, giving him a full pre‑season preparation after a summer without involvement in the Italy national team tour. The break was deliberately arranged months earlier with Italy head coach Gonzalo Quesada following a shoulder injury suffered in February, allowing Capuozzo to focus on physical and mental regeneration. He also spoke about adjusting to life as a new father and is eager for what he calls a historic season with Toulouse.

Capuozzo said the decision to skip the summer tour was a joint one with Quesada, prioritising recovery and a normal training schedule before the long French Top 14 campaign. He returned to Toulouse for two league matches and the semi‑final before the summer, and now expects to start the new season fully fit and motivated.
