Ange Postecoglou appointed Al Nassr manager amid high‑salary deal

Australian coach Ange Postecoglou has signed a two‑year contract to become manager of Saudi Pro League champions Al Nassr. Reports say his base salary could reach €11.7 million (about $19 million) per year, making the move financially lucrative. He will take charge of a squad that includes Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, Kingsley Coman and João Félix, following Jorge Jesus’s successful season.

Former Socceroos goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer expressed disappointment that Postecoglou chose the Saudi league over a role in one of Europe’s top five leagues, describing the competition as still “building” despite its high‑profile players.
