Angel Rodado addresses potential Poland national team call-up

Angel Rodado, the Spanish striker playing for Wisła Kraków, has addressed speculation regarding his potential naturalization and eligibility to play for the Poland national football team.

Rodado, who has been a prolific scorer for Wisła Kraków since joining in 2022, stated that playing for the Polish national team would be ‘an honor’. While he noted that he has not received any signals from the Polish Football Association (PZPN) and acknowledged that obtaining citizenship is not a quick or easy process, he remains open to the possibility if the national team ever requires his services.

The discussion comes amid a period of searching for talent within the Polish national setup. Rodado has demonstrated significant impact in Poland, scoring 73 goals in 115 matches during his time in the second tier and maintaining a strong presence in the Ekstraklasa following his recovery from a shoulder injury.
