Angel Yin confirms readiness for Solheim Cup despite recent health struggles

American golfer Angel Yin has expressed readiness to compete for Team USA in the 20th Solheim Cup at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands, despite recent health challenges. Yin, 27, reported losing significant weight due to a stomach illness earlier this summer, which led to a missed cut at the FM Championship in Boston and a withdrawal from the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

Despite concerns regarding her recent form and fitness, U.S. captain Angela Stanford has expressed full confidence in Yin’s ability to contribute to the team. Yin noted that she had honest discussions with Stanford and her team regarding her condition before deciding to participate.

The U.S. team, which includes former world number one Lilia Vu as an alternate, is aiming to secure its first victory on European soil since 2015. The biennial competition against Team Europe is scheduled to begin this Friday.
