Angela Aguilar and Christian Nodal postpone Zacatecas wedding

Singers Angela Aguilar and Christian Nodal have postponed their planned religious wedding ceremony in Zacatecas, Mexico. While the couple married civilly in July 2024, the ecclesiastical ceremony has been delayed due to security concerns in the region.

Aguilar explained that the decision stems from a previous incident where the couple was caught in the middle of a shooting during a police operation in Zacatecas. She noted that it is currently not an appropriate time to manage the large-scale logistics and high number of attendees required for such an event given the local safety situation.

The couple had originally intended to hold the ceremony at the Hacienda de Tayahua in Villanueva, Zacatecas. However, the venue is currently undergoing renovations. The artists plan to revisit their wedding arrangements once the site is repaired and the security situation in the state improves.
