Angela Zhang requires medical assistance during Chengdu concert
Taiwanese singer Angela Zhang experienced a health emergency during her ‘Player’ tour concert in Chengdu on August 23. While performing, Zhang appeared to suffer from heart discomfort, likely exacerbated by high temperatures and heavy stage costumes.
Medical staff intervened on stage to monitor her blood pressure, provide massage, and administer oxygen. After a brief five-minute break, Zhang returned to the stage to complete the performance, expressing her desire not to show her vulnerability to fans.
Following the event, Zhang posted on social media to reassure fans that she had undergone a comprehensive medical examination and is currently stable. The incident has drawn attention to her long-term struggle with mitral valve prolapse, a hereditary heart condition she has managed for many years.
