Angela Gossow discusses Lauren Hart joining Arch Enemy

Former Arch Enemy vocalist and current band manager Angela Gossow has shared details regarding how Lauren Hart joined the group. During an appearance on the Knotfest podcast, ‘She’s With The Band’, Gossow explained that she had been aware of Hart’s work since her time with the band Once Human.

Gossow noted that she first took interest in Hart due to vocal comparisons between the two singers and Hart’s high energy on stage. She also mentioned that Hart had previously cited Arch Enemy’s 2001 album, ‘Wages Of Sin’, as an inspiration for her vocal style. The two had maintained informal contact while Hart was seeking new musical opportunities, leading to discussions about how Hart’s vocal style could fit a hybrid of influences including Arch Enemy, Dimmu Borgir, and Machine Head.
