Angela Kelly to feature in documentary about life with late Queen

Angela Kelly, a former close confidante and personal dresser to the late Queen Elizabeth II, has reportedly agreed to participate in a scripted documentary about her life and rise within the Royal Household. The project is expected to feature interviews, archive footage, and potential dramatic reconstructions, with BAFTA-winning screenwriter Jeremy Brock involved in the production.

As a former ‘gatekeeper’ for the late monarch, Kelly’s insights could cause concern for King Charles III and senior courtiers. Insiders suggest she possesses intimate knowledge of the Royal Family, including the late Queen’s private views on matters such as Brexit and her relationship with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

While Kelly previously signed confidentiality agreements regarding her three decades of service, she may have certain permissions to publish based on prior arrangements with the Queen’s private secretaries. The documentary aims to chart her journey from the daughter of a crane driver to a position of significant influence within the palace.
