Angelbird launches AV PRO CFexpress Type A v4 memory cards

Angelbird has introduced its new AV PRO CFexpress Type A v4 series of memory cards, designed to support high-end professional video workflows including 8K RAW and Sony X-OCN recording. The new lineup utilizes a PCIe 4.0 interface, which provides double the bandwidth of previous generations.

The series includes three storage capacities: 400GB, 800GB, and 1600GB. All cards are VPG 400 and VPG 800 certified, ensuring they meet the high sustained write speed requirements for devices like the Sony FX5 cinema camera. Sustained write speeds vary by capacity, with the 400GB model reaching 1000 MB/s, the 800GB model reaching 1500 MB/s, and the 1600GB model reaching 1600 MB/s. The cards offer a maximum read speed of up to 1870 MB/s.

Built for durability, the cards are designed to withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -12° to 72° C for operation and -20° to 85° C for storage. They are also engineered to be resistant to shock and vibration, making them suitable for professional photo and video environments.
