Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's children remove 'Pitt' surname

Several of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's children have formally dropped their father's last name. Son Knox Jolie was listed without "Pitt" on his high‑school diploma after graduating from Fusion Academy in Los Angeles, following similar changes by siblings Maddox, Shiloh, Zahara and Vivienne. The name changes have been filed in California courts, with Zahara’s petition recorded on April 28 and Maddox’s finalized in May.

The moves come amid the aftermath of the couple’s divorce, which was finalized in December 2024 after years of custody disputes. Brad Pitt now retains only limited visitation rights, which will end when the twins turn 18. The family’s legal battles and name changes have been widely reported in entertainment media.
