Angelina Jolie is contesting a legal request from Brad Pitt’s attorneys to disclose her financial records from 2017 to 2019. The request, part of an ongoing legal battle over the French winery Château Miraval, seeks details regarding her income from film studio deals and other professional work.

Jolie’s legal team argues that while she has agreed to provide records for 2020 and 2021, expanding the scope further would violate her privacy and is irrelevant to the core dispute. Jolie maintains that her decision to scale back her professional career during that period was to focus on raising her children. She further clarified that previous claims regarding economic pressure were specific to the Miraval dispute and did not reflect her overall financial status.

Pitt’s legal team contends that these records are necessary to understand the circumstances surrounding Jolie’s 2021 sale of her stake in the estate. The dispute stems from Jolie’s allegation that Pitt conditioned the purchase of her interest in the winery on her signing a confidentiality agreement. The next court date is scheduled for October 6.
