Angelo Cordone named Knight of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre

Angelo Cordone, the Director General of the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Neurologico Carlo Besta in Milan, has been appointed a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. The investiture ceremony took place at the San Cetteo Cathedral in Pescara, presided over by Bishop Lino Fumagalli, the Grand Prior of the Lieutenancy for Central Italy.

Cordone has led the Besta Institute for four years, during which time it has strengthened its standing as a national and international leader in neurological research, diagnosis, and treatment. This progress was recently highlighted by the institute's inclusion in Newsweek’s ‘World’s Best Specialized Hospitals’ ranking. The Order of the Holy Sepulchre focuses on supporting the Christian presence in the Holy Land and promoting social, educational, and cultural works in those territories.
