Angelo Peretti releases new book on wine and philosophy

Food and wine critic Angelo Peretti has released a new book titled ‘Il profumo del bicchiere mezzo pieno’, published by Edizioni Ampelos. Drawing on over thirty years of experience in the industry, Peretti uses wine as a medium for philosophical inquiry rather than just a subject of tasting.

The work explores various existential themes, including pleasure, time, beauty, doubt, freedom, and love, through the lens of wine and its consumption. The book is structured as an alphabetical journey, with chapters titled after words such as ‘Agrodolce’, ‘Amori’, ‘Bello’, and ‘Happiness’. Each chapter connects a specific word to reflections sparked by meals, music, literature, or personal memories.
