Angelo Peretti to present new book in Verona

Journalist and food critic Angelo Peretti will present his new book, ‘Il profumo del bicchiere mezzo pieno’ (The Scent of the Half-Full Glass), on Wednesday, September 30, at Caffè Dante Bistrot in Verona. Published by Edizioni Ampelos, the book marks a departure from technical wine tasting sheets and scores, focusing instead on a narrative and human perspective.

Inspired by a question from singer Emma Nolde, the work consists of 99 short texts derived from Peretti’s decades of notes. The book uses wine as a lens to explore life, travel, and human connection, featuring reflections on various international wines and cultural references. The event, part of the ‘Incontri d’Autore’ series, will feature a dialogue between Peretti and Silvia Franceschini and will conclude with a tasting of wines from the Vicentini Agostino winery.
