Angelo Sicali joins Ortigia water polo for Serie A1

Circolo Canottieri Ortigia has announced the signing of attacker Angelo Sicali for the 2026/2027 season. Sicali, born in 2008, is moving up to the Serie A1 squad from the club’s Academy.

A former captain for the Under 16 and Under 18 youth championships, Sicali has significant competitive experience, having played in Serie B and Serie A2 with the Academy over the last three seasons. He is also a member of the Italian youth national teams, having earned a world silver medal as captain of the Under 16 squad in 2025.

Sicali expressed gratitude to the club and staff for their trust, noting that the Ortigia Academy provided the foundation for his progression to the top tier of Italian water polo.
