Angers Castle's Tour du moulin to reopen after restoration

The Tour du moulin, the tallest tower of the Angers Castle, is set to reopen to the public on September 25, 2026, following five years of restoration work. The tower, which stands 40 meters high and overlooks the Maine river, had been closed for over twenty years.

To celebrate the reopening, the Centre des monuments nationaux is organizing a free public event from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The festivities will include musical performances by the 6th Engineer Regiment fanfare of Angers, aerial shows by specialized companies, an electronic DJ set, and an architectural light show.
