Angers hosts Accroche-Cœurs street arts festival

The Accroche-Cœurs street arts festival is taking place in Angers, transforming the city's historic center and the banks of the Maine River into an open-air theater. Organized by the Ville d’Angers, the event has grown significantly since its inception in 1999 and is now a major cultural fixture in the Pays de la Loire region.

The 26th edition features over 300 artists and centers on the theme of travel and escape. The program includes more than 125 free performances, such as street theater, circus arts, dance, music, and large-scale parades. Key locations for the festivities include the Place du Ralliement, public squares, and pedestrian thoroughfares.

As the festival concludes its three-day run, scheduled performances include Maxime Minerbe’s ‘Voyage’ and the circus act ‘Culbuto’ by the Mauvais Coton company. The city also hosted a zero-waste picnic event along the promenade Jean-Turc to accommodate festivalgoers.
