Angine De Poitrine performs sold-out shows in Washington, D.C

Quebec-based microtonal math-rock duo Angine De Poitrine recently completed a two-night sold-out residency at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C., as part of their first U.S. tour.

The performance featured Khn De Poitrine on guitar and bass and Klek De Poitrine on drums. The duo utilized an avant-garde stage persona involving LED-lit masks, ritualistic chants, and signature hand gestures. The setlist included tracks such as ‘Angor’, ‘Ababa Hotel’, ‘Sarniezz’, ‘Sherpa’, and ‘Tamebsz’, showcasing complex time signatures and microtonal fretwork.

Observers noted the technical precision of the duo's polyrhythmic percussion and looping riffs, alongside unconventional stage elements like the use of long, glowing straws and alien-inspired banter.
