AngioDynamics shares fall despite beating Q1 earnings estimates
AngioDynamics shares fell significantly following the release of its fiscal Q1 2027 earnings and updated full-year guidance. Although the company reported a pro forma loss of $0.04 per share and revenue of $80.9 million—both of which exceeded analyst expectations—the stock faced downward pressure. Under GAAP accounting principles, the company reported a larger loss of $0.17 per share.
The medical device manufacturer, which produces tools such as the NanoKnife for cancer treatment, also issued guidance for fiscal year 2027. The company projected revenue between $336 million and $341 million, with pro forma earnings per share losses estimated between $0.24 and $0.29. Analysts suggest the company may not return to profitability before 2029.
In a leadership transition, AngioDynamics named Eric Honroth, formerly the Global President of Life Science at Getinge, as the new CEO to replace Jim Clemmer. Despite the recent stock volatility, some brokerages have recently adjusted their outlooks, with Canaccord Genuity and HC Wainwright raising their price targets.
