Anglers report massive fish catches in Poland and the United States

Anglers in Poland and the United States have reported significant catches, though one failed to secure an official record. In Poland, Marcin Lewandowski from Głowno caught a massive catfish in the Vistula River. The fish measured 239 cm in length and weighed between 90 and 100 kg, marking a major achievement following his years of focusing on large catfish in the Odra and Vistula rivers.

In the United States, Montana resident Daniel Caricaburu-Lundin caught a largemouth bass measuring 22 inches (approximately 56 cm) and weighing eight pounds in Idaho. Despite the size exceeding the current state record of 20.87 inches, the catch cannot be officially recognized by the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) because the angler did not use a certified measuring board during the catch.
