Angélica Vale undergoes preventive mastectomy due to rising cancer risk

Actress Angélica Vale has revealed that she underwent a preventive mastectomy to reduce her risk of developing breast cancer. During an appearance on the podcast ‘Las Angélicas’ with her mother, Angélica María, the actress explained that her medical risk assessments increased significantly over time.

Initial medical studies indicated a 23% chance of developing the disease, at which point doctors recommended lifestyle changes and hormonal monitoring. However, after her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer again, Vale’s subsequent evaluations showed her risk had risen to 42%.

Following a consultation with her doctor, Vale decided to proceed with the surgery to remove breast tissue. She noted that the procedure involved physical pain and a recovery period, and she has since received breast implants. She continues to undergo regular medical check-ups to monitor her health.
