Anglican Cathedral celebrates 30 years in Jaboatão

The Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Piedade, Jaboatão dos Guararapes, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a series of special events scheduled from August 19 to August 23. The institution, which began in 1996 as the Holy Spirit Anglican Parish, now serves as the Cathedral of the Diocese of Recife and the National Cathedral of the Anglican Church Province in Brazil.

The anniversary program features international religious leaders, including Paul Donison, Secretary-General of the Global Anglican Communion, Archbishop Laurent Mbanda of Rwanda, Archbishop Henry Ndukuba of Nigeria, and Julien Dobbs from North America.

The festivities will conclude on Sunday, August 23, with a solemn service marking the installation of Reverend Gabriel Uchoa as the new Dean of the Cathedral.
