Anglican Primate Henry Ndukuba Urges Nigerian Youths to Reject Political Thuggery Ahead of 2027 Election
Anglican Primate Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba addressed the 15th Anglican Chancellors, Registrars and Legal Officers Conference in Abuja, urging politicians to conduct issue‑based, non‑violent campaigns as the 2027 general election approaches.
He warned that politicians would never send their own children to commit violence and called on Nigerian youths to refuse offers to act as political thugs. Ndukuba appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission, security agencies and citizens to work together for a free, fair and credible vote, citing the planned introduction of state policing as a means to improve election security and condemning vote‑buying, godfatherism and the lack of internal party democracy.
