Anglo Teck leadership team announced as Teck‑Anglo American merger advances
Teck Resources and Anglo American have named the executive leadership team for the combined entity, Anglo Teck, as the merger moves toward completion between September 2026 and March 2027. Anglo American CEO Duncan Wanblad will serve as chief executive, while Teck CEO Jonathan Price becomes deputy chief executive and chief strategy officer. The team also includes CFO John Heasley, COO Ruben Fernandes, and regional heads: Brock Gill (Canada/US), Tony Power (Peru), Ana Sanches (Brazil), Dale Webb (Chile) and Mpumi Zikalala (Kumba Iron Ore).
Anglo Teck will be headquartered in Vancouver, with supporting corporate offices in London and Johannesburg. The merger aims to create a top‑tier global copper producer with more than 70% exposure to copper, targeting annual pretax synergies of about US$800 million by the fourth year after completion, 80% of which are expected by the second year. The deal remains subject to final regulatory approval.
