AngloGold Ashanti launches PRÓ+ program for women and disabled in Brazil

AngloGold Ashanti has opened applications for the PRÓ+ programme, an affirmative‑action initiative aimed at women and people with disabilities who wish to start a career in mining. The company is offering 60 six‑month training slots in its Nova Lima and Sabará facilities near Belo Horizonte. Participants will receive technical education through a curriculum developed with SEST SENAT and hands‑on experience in either Base Electromechanics (maintenance of heavy equipment) or Base Operations (equipment handling and system inspection).

Eligibility requires candidates to be female and/or have a disability, be at least 21 years old, hold a complete high‑school diploma and be willing to work a 4×4 shift schedule. Applicants must reside in, or be able to work in, Nova Lima or Sabará, and a category‑B driver’s licence is preferred (mandatory for the Operations track). The programme provides a stipend and a benefits package that includes medical and dental care, private pension, profit‑sharing, meal vouchers, transport allowance, telemedicine, childcare aid, education aid and life insurance. Applications close on 31 August 2026.
