Angola finalizes digital platform to track national logistics flows
Angola is finalizing the Janela Única Logística (JUL), a digital platform designed to track national logistics flows across air, maritime, road, and rail networks. Announced by Transport Minister Ricardo de Abreu, the project aims to centralize information and improve coordination between operators and government administrations to reduce procedural bottlenecks.
The initiative involves collaboration between the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Finance via the Administração Geral Tributária (AGT), and the Ministries of Industry, Commerce, and Interior. By digitalizing administrative procedures, the government seeks to enhance visibility for cargo tracking and facilitate smoother movement of goods both domestically and toward regional markets.
Additionally, the AGT is working to integrate platforms to automate international trade processes, such as licensing and goods clearance. This digital transformation aims to provide economic operators with greater predictability by establishing clear timelines and service level agreements (SLAs) between various participating institutions.
