Angola is focusing on economic diplomacy and regional integration to drive national development. The fourth edition of the Angola Economic Forum (AEF) is scheduled to begin on September 22, centered on the theme ‘Angola, Economic Diplomacy and Regional Integration: New Partnerships for Sustainable Development’. The forum aims to evaluate Angola’s international positioning, discuss the impact of economic diplomacy on attracting foreign direct investment, and explore regional integration within the SADC framework.

Key strategic sectors for economic diversification include tourism and the revitalization of the national agricultural sector to ensure food security. The AEF serves as a platform for policymakers, academics, and business leaders to discuss the role of commercial banking in financing trade and to foster institutional networking between the government and the private sector.

In Berlin, the Angolan Ambassador, Maria Isabel de Resende Encoge, recently commemorated the nation's founder, António Agostinho Neto. She emphasized that the government is prioritizing the resolution of poverty and hunger through strategic economic actions and strengthened international cooperation.
