Angola showcases culture and gastronomy at diplomatic fair in Zambia

Angolan culture and gastronomy were prominently featured at the 2026 Diplomatic Fun Fair in Lusaka, Zambia. Represented by the Angolan Embassy, the exhibition showcased traditional foods, crafts, natural juices, and engravings to participants from over 30 countries.

Alongside culinary displays, the Likumbi Lya Mize Chibolya cultural group performed traditional dances, including rituals celebrating the end of the Mukanda initiation ceremony. These performances utilized intricate masks and costumes to preserve Luvale and Lunda cultural heritage. The event, organized by the Zambian Ministry of Tourism, aimed to promote tourism and strengthen international relations through cultural exchange.
