Angolan parliamentary delegation visits China to boost diplomatic and technological ties

An Angolan parliamentary delegation, led by National Assembly President Adão de Almeida, conducted an official mission to China to strengthen diplomatic and technological ties. During the visit, the delegation toured the China Mobile Smart City Technological Innovation Center in Hebei, focusing on 5G, artificial intelligence, and edge computing. They also visited the Yannan River Park in Xiong’an to observe “sponge city” ecological drainage models and the integration of historical preservation with urban infrastructure.

In Beijing, Wang Huning, president of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, met with Adão de Almeida to discuss elevating China-Angola relations. The discussions centered on implementing agreements between the two heads of state and deepening cooperation in energy, economy, trade, and transport. Both parties expressed a commitment to multilateral coordination and supporting modernization efforts in their respective countries.
