Angola's CSMJ annuls judicial staff recruitment process

The Superior Council of the Judicial Magistracy (CSMJ) has announced the annulment of a public recruitment process for judicial staff across Angola. The competition, which offered 500 positions for roles including clerks and bailiffs, was canceled following the detection of irregularities that compromised the legality and transparency of the selection process.

More than 20,000 candidates had applied for the vacancies. Following the decision, the CSMJ plenary resolved to open a new public competition involving a written exam. To ensure impartiality and credibility, the new process will be conducted by a jury composed of individuals different from those involved in the previous selection process.
