Angola's Political Conflict Memorial reaches 93.5% completion

The construction of the Memorial to the Victims of Political Conflicts in Angola has reached 93.5% physical execution. President João Lourenço visited the site in the Ingombota municipality of Luanda to inspect the progress.

Leonel Cruz, director of the Gabinete de Obras Especiais (GOE), reported that the project's pace increased significantly following the reinforcement of logistics and labor. The memorial is scheduled for completion in October and will serve as a space to honor citizens who lost their lives during the political conflicts and civil war in Angola between November 11, 1975, and April 4, 2002.

This project is part of a broader series of infrastructure and social developments reported by the government since 2017. These include advancements in healthcare, education, energy, and water systems across the country.
