Angoulême Film Festival Provides Free Seats for Seniors

The municipal authorities of Angoulême have introduced a free‑ticket programme for residents aged 65 and over during the 19th edition of the Festival du film francophone, scheduled for 24‑29 August 2026. Eligible seniors must register by 17 August, using the city’s online portal, telephone service or email to the senior‑autonomy department.

The offer covers a single morning screening on Wednesday, 26 August at 11:00, showing the film “Les héros du Louvre” directed by Élie Chouraqui and starring Kad Merad, Marie Gillain and Jean‑Hugues Anglade. The initiative aims to improve cultural accessibility and encourage senior participation in the week‑long cinematic event.

Registrations are limited, and the city has promoted the programme through multiple communication channels to ensure local seniors can take advantage of the free cinema seat.
