Angoulême Francophone Film Festival hosts French cinema stars

The 19th edition of the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival is taking place from August 24 to 29, 2026. The event features various French cinematic works and high-profile celebrity appearances.

Opening the festival is the 2026 comedy ‘Ni vue ni connue’, directed by Marc Fitoussi. The film stars Isabelle Huppert as an aspiring extra who struggles to be noticed in the French film industry. The story explores the contrast between dreams and reality through the relationship between Huppert’s character and a character played by Sandrine Kiberlain. The cast also includes Diane Kruger and Emmanuelle Bercot.

Other film presentations at the festival include ‘La Frappe’ and ‘Ce qui nous meme a toi’, with various actors participating in photocalls, including Aliocha Schneider, Suzanne Lindon, and Fabrice Luchini.
