Angra do Heroísmo launches heritage project for Francisco Ernesto de Oliveira Martins collection

The Centro Interpretativo de Angra do Heroísmo has launched the ‘Olhar de Perto’ project, an initiative running from October through December. The program aims to reveal the history and technical details of the Francisco Ernesto de Oliveira Martins collection through research, conservation, and restoration work.

Scheduled presentations for adults will take place on October 17, November 14, and December 12. The sessions will feature specific pieces from the collection, using video projections to show microscopic details and the various stages of restoration. The project also includes sessions designed for school communities to foster curiosity regarding the historical and artistic context of the objects.
