Anguilla expands .ai domain registration to non-Latin scripts
The government of Anguilla has approved the registration of 32 new .ai domain formats, enabling the use of non-Latin writing systems. This expansion allows users to register web addresses using characters from various scripts, such as Arabic and Japanese, to reach a broader global market.
Information Technology Minister Jose Vanterpool stated that the move is intended to leverage the country-code top-level domain and increase registration revenue by adapting to evolving technological trends. The expansion follows a memorandum of understanding with Identity Digital to manage .ai domain sales.
